The Concretes :: Say Something New :: Sweden
Indie Pop | 3:48 | English | 8/10
Comments: Used extensively in ads for the store Target, Say Something New is relaxing, and fun to listen to with its unique instrumental arrangements and the peace-bringing vocals of this seven-member band hailing from Stockholm.

1234 :: Feist :: Canada
Indie Folk | 3:03 | English| 10/10
Comments: Another in the increasingly popular Indie genre, you'll recognize 1234 from Ipod Nano commercials. This song was ranked #2 in Time magazine's 10 Best Songs of 2007, and hopefully listening to it you'll be inspired to listen to more of Feist's beautiful work.

Starry Eyed Surprise :: Paul Oakenfold :: England
Trance | 3:44 | English | 10/10
Comments: This one comes from a popular Diet Coke commercial, produced by DJ Paul Oakenfold, featuring the lead singer from Crazy Town. The unique sounds of Oakenfold at the turntable underneath a catchy melody will have you bopping along to this for hours, like many of Oakenfold's songs. (:

Perfect Timing (This Morning) :: Orba Squara :: U.S.
Alternative | 3:32 | English| 9/10
Comments: Anyone who hasn't heard this song either doesn't own a TV or lives under a rock, because it was in pretty much every iPhone commercial ever, and they played those things relentlessly. Orba Squara's music is completely organic, using many instruments you don't often get to hear in modern popular music. I definitely suggest checking him out, as he needs more attention. ;D

The Birds and the Bees :: Patrick and Eugene :: England
Electronica/Indie | 3:45 | English| 8/10
Comments:You can't have a rotation about songs from commercials without featuring at least one whacky song that we're all wondering, "Just where the heck did that come from?" Well, I've uploaded a rather hard-to-find commercial song by Patrick and Eugene, which was featured in commercials for the Volkswagen Rabbit. It's catchy and downright strange, so beware.

New Soul :: Yael Naim :: Israel
Pop/New Wave/Indie | 3:44 | English| 10/10
Comments:I cannot get enough of this song. I have had it on repeat for hours, it is just that good. You'll probably recognize it from Macbook Air commercials. Seriously, go buy her CDs. You won't regret it. Fun fact, she's the first Israeli music artist to ever have a top ten hit in the United States. o:
